Meet Jenny, Wedding Celebrant

Meet Jenny, Wedding Celebrant

Qualified Female Celebrant

I first took an interest in the role of a celebrant after arranging my father’s funeral back in 2001. I knew my father would not have wanted a religious affair, so I set out to find what options were available.

Since then, I have done much travelling, living and working in Lincolnshire, England, Australia and the United Arab Emirates. I divide my time between all three to spend time with my husband and two grown up children. I am also now enjoying the role of being a grandmother.

I have worked in Education in all three of the above countries in a variety of different roles including Home School Liaison Officer, Attendance Officer and for the last 10 years have been teaching English as a second language to students from all over the globe.

When I am not working, I am involved with the local community theatre group in Dubai. My latest role saw me take on the role of Ms Prism in Oscar Wilde’s, The Importance of Being Earnest. I once took my husband to an audition and he now seems to get cast more than I do!

I am also taking golf lessons and hope to be able to challenge my husband in a few months’ time!

On a more serious note, I have attended numerous wedding, funeral and baby naming ceremonies over the years and feel very strongly about fulfilling the wishes of all the people involved.

I have left a ceremony on too many occasions feeling like something was missing. It is this that has made me want to reach out and help people to find the right words, and convey the right message, which I believe is of the upmost importance and I would be privileged to help you and your loved ones fulfil this in whatever capacity and ceremony.

After all, it is your day so should be carried out your way.
