What an absolute delight it was to write and conduct Alex and Lucy’s wedding ceremony.

Set in the beautiful grounds of The Laceby Manor in Lincolnshire, the sun decided to make an appearance and the rain held off for all the family and friends to gather outside.

Alex and Lucy, both in the military, wanted a very relaxed and fun vibe to their special day and their story of how they met and the proposal certainly had their guests laughing.

A friend and bridesmaid stepped forward to share a Pam Ayres poem with us all, ‘ Yes, I’ll Marry You My Dear’ and two family members were asked to be witnesses and sign their wedding certificate.

During a Celebrant led ceremony, there are so many ways to include family and friends. Whether it’s reading a poem, being a witness or tying a ribbon during a hand fasting ceremony.

Lucy and Alex opted for very traditional repeat after me vows and exchange of rings.

As the ceremony concluded, Lucy and Alex walked back down the aisle to Rick Astley’s 1987 hit ‘ Never Gonna Give You Up’ and the guests covered them both in confetti.

The ceremony was full of love, fun and laughter and this really sets the tone for the rest of the day.

A Tower of champagne glasses had been carefully built by Jo of @boutiquewedding and the couple popped open the first of the bottles.

Thank you for letting @agcelebrants be a part of your special day guys. We loved working alongside you both.

Big Love
