Kia and Chris first contacted me nearly 18months ago from the UK. They were planning on coming to Dubai to celebrate and carry out their wedding ceremony in front of loved ones on the beach.
Lots of the guests had flown in from England and everyone was very excited.
We had been having very strange weather in Dubai for a few months and on the eve of the ceremony, the rain did fall. Back up plans were made but fortunately the sun came out just in time and the very appropriate ‘ Here comes the sun’ by The Beatles played as Kia was led down the aisle by her very proud father.
Kia and Chris were able to have the ceremony they dreamed of on the beach, surrounded by family and friends.
The couple chose a lovely poem for one of their friends to read out during the ceremony and then after repeating their very traditional vows to each other, they asked two of their bridesmaids to come forward and witness the signing of their wedding certificate.
It is always a very nice touch when family and friends are involved in the ceremony.
Shortly after the ceremony, I left the happy couple, surrounded by their loved ones, to carry on celebrating.
I was very touched when one of the guests approached me, as I was leaving, to thank me and tell me that they had been to many weddings but this one had been so personal and unique.
This is the beauty of a Celebrant led wedding. You can include so many different elements into the ceremony and have it exactly as you want.
Makes my job very easy when I work alongside such lovely couples and love what I do.
Kia and Chris, wishing you all the best for a very happy and fulfilled future together. xx
