27 August 2021
Harvey and Sophia had already postponed their wedding ceremony once and we all had everything crossed that the new date of 27 August 2021, would go ahead.
Friday is becoming an ever popular date for couples to tie the knot and family and friends alike get to enjoy an extended weekend break.
Although it was August and the height of the summer, in true English style, we could see a few dark clouds on the morning of the wedding.
This didn’t faze any of us though and the beautiful outdoor ceremony area @brackhotel near Louth set the scene.
Harvey and Sophia come from large families and also have adorable twin girls.
The beauty of a Celebrant led ceremony meant that they were able to involve them all in one way or another.
One of Harvey’s five brothers, Ben, was the best man. We also had Myles, another brother, read out a poem that he had written.
Hanna, one of the lovely bridesmaids, also read a poem for us that she too had written. A talented bunch of guests.
Hope and Orla, the couple’s twin daughters were flower girls and best friends of Sophia’s were bridesmaids.
Working alongside Harvey and Sophia, I was able to write their story from their first meet, first date, first kiss, the proposal and their journey together so far.
The couple went on to sign their wedding certificate and asked two family members to be their witnesses.
Again another great way to include family and friends and a lovely photo opportunity.
The feedback from family and friends after the ceremony was amazing.
They all loved how personal it was and all said they had learnt something new about the couple.
Guests went onto enjoy the rest of the afternoon and evening and were entertained by the talented @tomwrightmagician, photographed by the lovely @sarahcorfieldphotography and filmed by the lovely husband and wife team @pocketjacksfilms
The party carried on into the early hours and from setting the tone perfectly, right from the minute Sophia walked down the aisle, to saying the ‘ I dos ‘ to the cutting of the cake, to the first and last dance, it’s true to say, an amazing and memorable day was had by all.
Thank you again Harvey and Sophia for trusting me to write and conduct your special day.
I loved every minute.
